Thea Elder is an artist living and working across Eora Nation (Sydney). She has been working as a freelance photographer since 2017, and has a background in the Arts and Communications (Social Media and Marketing). She specialises in headshots, branding imagery and intimate portraits. Her preferred medium of analog photography has allowed her the space to monitor time with herself, and with those beyond her lens.

Artistic Practice


Thea’s practice is concerned with her identity as an ecosexual, queer woman, and what that means for her relationship to the Earth, other humans, and the Erotic (Eros).  With a preference for movement, candor, and carnal energy, Thea creates images from dreamscapes, fantasies and her lived experience.
